From Winning An Oscar To Writing Novels
Many assume actors disappear from Hollywood because they are forced to by age or lack of progress. But Gene Hackman won’t be able to relate to that. The award-winning actor appeared in over 100 projects before retiring from the industry in 2006. His dream of becoming a novelist was his driving force for this career change.
The second career Hackman pursued isn’t as well-known as his first. However, he is still a prolific author with published works that include a police thriller published in 2013 titled “Pursuit” and “Payback at Morning Peak: A Novel of the American West” published in 2011.
