Shirley Jones, Age 86 –  The Partridge Family

Shirley Jones made a name for herself by playing wholesome characters in films like Oklahoma! and Carousel, among a host of others. However, she won her Oscar for Best Actress by playing a female escort with a vengeance in the film Elmer Gantry.

Her return to wholesome roles saw her playing her most endearing character as Shirley Partridge in the hit sitcom, The Partridge Family. The show also starred her stepson, the late David Cassidy. She also had a productive side career in music as a solo artist and with her first husband, crooner Jack Cassidy. Her last role was in 2018’s Eco-Teens Save The World.
