All Alone In A Big House
The Administration of Aging released a report stating that approximately 30% or over 11 million senior citizens live alone at home. That is even though more than 5 million of them are badly in need of assisted living or some level of long-term care.
Most accidents among elders occur in their own houses due to numerous hazards in their homes. Falling is a grave threat to old people with brittle bones, and other accidents can cause severe injuries, and worse, death. Since Joyce lived alone inside her house, she was susceptible to all these as well, and that’s quite daunting to think about.
