Janice Bryant Howroyd is the CEO and founder of ACT-1 Group whose net sales was approximately $925 million in 2016. She established the company in 1978 in Los Angeles to provide workforce solutions, including temporary staffing. The company has grown exponentially and now it operates in 19 countries with more than 17,000 clients and over 2,600 employees.  Howroyd is also into real estate investing and own multiple commercial spaces for rent as well as residences. She received the 2016 A.G. Gaston Award at the Black Enterprise Entrepreneurs Conference.
