‘Logged’ Out
The nocturnal nature of porcupines makes them one of those animals that prefer an afternoon siesta instead of a good night’s sleep. So our prickly friend chose to pass out in what looks like a pretty uncomfortable place to sleep – a high and horizontal tree trunk.
Given the fact that this is in the wilderness, it makes sense for the porcupine to choose such a unique place for a nap. High up in the trees, the critter keeps dangerous predators like wolves, bears, and coyotes at bay; plus, there’s some nice shade too!
