McGregor is an English actress who gained fame for her role as Emily Kirk in the British soap opera “Emmerdale.” Her portrayal of Emily has earned numerous accolades and awards, including the National Television Award as Most Popular Newcomer.

McGregor is an intensely private individual, rarely making public appearances. She and her male partner, a teacher, have multiple children together. From 1996 to 1998, McGregor was married to Edward. She has a great love for Ireland, often speaking fondly of the coasts of Connemara and taking her family to the Lakelands of Fermanagh for holidays.
