Despite Tracy Chapman being highly secretive of her personal life, details about her life sometimes trickle down to the media. An example is her loving relationship with actress Guinevere Turne, best known for playing Gabby Deveaux in The L Word from 2004 to 2009.

The couple met in 2010 and instantly hit it off, making their romance red carpet official during the Outfest Gay and Lesbian Film Festival in July of the same year.
