Featured in the 2021 documentaries “Forever Doris” and “History of the Sitcom,” the retired American actress Elinor Donahue was made famous for her appearance in the classic American sitcom “Father Knows Best.” The ’50s series helped to kickstart a remarkable acting career that over seven decades and included more than 100 filmography entries.
Now enjoying her golden years, Donahue is a cookbook author in addition to her work as an actress. Younger audiences may recognize her from her work in “Pretty Woman,” “Freddy’s Dead: The Final Nightmare,” and “The Young and the Restless.”
