Let’s go Car Washing!
One of the great Hollywood tropes is a bunch of girls—clad in nothing but bikinis—who run a car wash. These country girls are very well capable of cleaning up the mess that they’ve made. Don’t let appearances deceive you: the little white headband may gesture to her daintiness, but there sure isn’t anything dainty about country girls or car washes.
We can’t tell which year this picture belongs to, but we’ve found out that mechanized car washes had been introduced in America around 1944. However, if this photo is post-1944, this girl probably just loves doing the job herself and knows how appealing she looks while she’s at it.
