One Cool K-9 Wildlife Control Officer
Cherry Capital Airport in Michigan faced a unique challenge in its day-to-day operations—wild animals would often disrupt workflows. The airport hired a K-9 wildlife control officer, an adorable Border Collie named Piper, to tackle this issue.
Thanks to Piper, the airport staff no longer had to worry about wildlife interrupting their daily operations as the collie was able to chase away the animals. The pup served the airport faithfully for three years and managed to scare away 8,367 birds. Sadly, in January 2018, Piper had to retire after chasing away his last bird. Though gone, the pooch will always be remembered for his service to the airport.
