When a loved one has to be away for an extended period of time, uncertainty and fear can take over. This woman in the photo was waiting for her soldier, ecstatic to be reunited with him finally.

Her homemade sign for him uniquely expressed her joy and made the reunion even more special. Although it was intimate, those around them must feel their true love. The military can take away a lot but can’t take away the love shared between two people.
