A Beautifully Mixed Family

Since they were an interracial couple, the three kids that Donna and Vince already had features from both of them. They had a light brown skin tone, which made it clear to anyone that they were, indeed, the Aylmers’ children. They made it that much more difficult for them to explain to the world about their twins.

The story would’ve been much simpler had the twins shared similar characteristics. But they didn’t, and therefore, they were in for a lifetime of explaining to people why they are, in fact, twins and why they were different from each other.
