The First Biracial Identical Twins In The UK

All the sets of twins we’ve looked at so far are fraternal twins. However, here we have a pair of identical twins who were born with different complexions. It’s extremely rare. In fact, these two little girls became the first biracial identical twins in the UK.

From West Rainton, County Durham, Libby Appleby gave birth to Amelia and Jasmine at the age of 37. Both Appleby and her partner, Tafadzwa Madzimbamuto, were thrilled to see their baby girls although, it didn’t take long for them to realize that they each had one daughter who looked like them.
