Bernie Sanders, $3 Million

As of July 2021, Bernie Sanders was worth $3 million after serving four decades in U.S. politics. His lake house in Vermont is pretty huge and was all over the news when he officially moved there in 2020. Business Insider reports the democrat’s annual salary as a senator at about $174K, while he earned $1 million from royalties for his books.

Although he’s been the Senator of Vermont since 2007, he also started to Chair the budget committee starting in Biden’s administration. Sanders ran for president twice in the 2016 elections as well as in 2020. While he lost in the latter, he backed out in the former.
