Then it hit Emma: she still had that key! It seemed too wild to work, but it was their last hope. Otherwise, they would be trapped indefinitely… a thought that chilled them to the bone. They had to do at least something!

She fished the key from her pocket, standing there, aware that this was their make-or-break moment. Blinking back tears and taking a deep, shaky breath, Emma hoped against hope.
