Even as a baby, Dannielynn was already featured in newspapers and magazines because of the controversy surrounding her birth. Her mother, Anna Nicole Smith, named lawyer Howard K. Stern as the father in her daughter’s birth certificate.

Since several other men also claimed paternity, the subject of the custody battle became known as the ‘Dannielynn Birkhead paternity case.’ Shortly after, it was determined through a DNA test that the baby girl’s father is celebrity photographer Larry Birkhead, with whom Smith had a relationship. Nowadays, Dannielynn lives a normal life with her dad and often attends the Kentucky Derby with him.
