Arlene Dahl – $8.5 Million, New York

Arlene Dahl’s 11-acre estate in upstate New York, which is named ‘Treetops,’ was up in the market in 2008. The Victorian-style home with oak floorboards, high ceilings, and broad verandas pretty much had it all, and that’s why its price tag was a hefty $8.5 million.

The 14-bedroom house with nine fireplaces stood parallel to the Hudson River. You can imagine all the relaxing scenery! This residence—built in 1859—is a fair 40 minutes’ drive away from Manhattan. Dahl is now 94 years old, and she remains one of the last stars breathing from the Classical Hollywood cinema age.
