Jane Hill And Sara Shepherd

BBC’s news reporter Jane Hill came out as gay in 2009 before getting married to her live-in girlfriend Sara Shephard in 2011. The civil partnership was entered into three years after they had started dating. Sara has been working with the same employer as a TV camerawoman. Both of them have been living with their Border Collie.

Hill had first started working on the radio after her graduation when she was only 16. Being among the first few picks for BBC’s new 24-hour news channel, she has covered numerous important events in her career, including the aftermath of the 9/11 attacks in America and the war in Iraq.
