The Unseen Intruder

When he reached the site, Tim hastily propped a ladder against the tree. Despite the risk involved, his determination to uncover the truth about the nest pushed him upwards. Usually, the noise from him climbing the tree would have scared and scattered the birds, yet no flutter of wings or chirps greeted him.

Peering into the shadows of the nest, Tim’s gaze fixed on a large, unnerving hole and something even more startling within. His strange find made him stumble, and he barely caught himself. “What is that?” he asked himself, the words barely escaping his lips. He didn’t hesitate to reach for his phone with trembling hands and dialed the police.
