Bill Nye: Pioneer of the Sky-High Selfie
Long before selfies became a global phenomenon, Bill Nye was already mastering the art on a flight back in 1999. There he was, flipping out a camera with a confident grin, arguably experimenting on early selfie science. Interestingly, the term “selfie” wasn’t even coined until 2002 by an Australian who drunkenly used it to describe a self-taken photo on an online forum.
But there’s Bill, a man ahead of his time, unwittingly setting trends at cruising altitude. Who knew the Science Guy would also become an unwitting trailblazer in the selfie world? Maybe it’s just another feather in his bow tie!
