Gabrielle Giffords & Mark Kelly – Together Since 2007

Gabrielle Giffords served as a member of the U.S. House of Representatives from 2007 to 2012. Sadly, her term was cut short after an assassination attempt in 2011 left her with severe brain injury. Fortunately, she recovered and is now an anti-gun-violence activist.

Giffords has been married to former NASA astronaut and U.S. Navy Captain Mark Kelly since 2007. They spent long periods separated when they initially got hitched with Kelly living in Houston. Kelly assumed office in January 2021, and he’s currently representing the state of Arizona. The couple co-authored Gabby: A Story of Courage, Love and Resilience.
