Sam Kerr and Nikki Stanton – 7 Years

Matildas star striker Sam Kerr chose to keep her relationship with long-term girlfriend Nikki Stanton low-key for a while. Yet lately, she’s found the courage to open up about the love of her life. After coming out in April of 2019, Kerr became comfortable sharing details about her relationship, saying her partner is a “safe place” for her.

The pair met in 2014 when both played for the New Jersey team Sky Blue FC. Sam often recalls how her girlfriend was a big help when she had an injury the same year they met. In fact, she claims their relationship truly blossomed during that time.
