Michael Jordan is widely regarded as the greatest player in NBA history. But did you know that he made most of his $2.2 billion net worth after he retired from playing? He made less than $100 million during his playing days. In retirement, he purchased the  Charlotte Hornets NBA franchise, valued at $1.5 billion.

This, along with his lifetime deal with Nike and the Air Jordan sneakers, has built him up a healthy little retirement nest egg. He is sharing this with his five children and his Cuban model wife Yvette Prieto, who he married in 2013 after dating since 2007. They share a pair of identical twins.
