The more Greg stared at the pool, taking in the latest mess, the more he felt like he was getting a sucker punch to the guy. He couldn’t understand why his generosity had been stretched too thin. Putting up with the neighborhood kids’ shenanigans was one thing, but paying for their recklessness was a different ball game.
The last straw was the sight of another expensive scratch on the pool liner. A quick look-up on HomeAdvisor helped him realize patching the damage would set him back $350, and replacing the liner could soar to a whopping $5K. That was it. Enough was enough.
