A Tube Ride To Afterlife

How often does one come across a funeral procession with a casket taking the subway during the years of traveling? It’s not the preferred mode of transportation for the dearly departed. While this picture speaks of a solemn moment for the grieving family and the passengers who got to witness it, it’s weird and feels awfully out of place.

It piques our curiosity about the reason behind this decision; was it the person’s last wish to be taken through the same subway they had traveled their entire lives? Did they have to pay the ticket fare this time too? Well, since this doesn’t usually happen, we are simply taking notes.
