Amidst the common occurrence of short-lived Hollywood unions, the relationship between Freddie Prinze Jr. and Sarah Michelle Gellar is a shining exception. The two first crossed paths while filming the spine-chilling thriller “I Know What You Did Last Summer” in 1997. However, it wasn’t until three years later that they kindled a romantic flame.

After a brief engagement in April 2001, the couple exchanged vows in a scenic Mexican ceremony on September 1, 2002. Their on-screen chemistry was equally palpable as they portrayed Daphne and Fred in the “Scooby-Doo” series. Their family expanded with the arrival of a daughter in 2009 and a son in 2012.
