Having lived in South Florida, an area that regularly faces dangerous hurricanes, inspired Maria Timmer to become a meteorologist. The talented weather presenter served on Fox News for almost six years and is currently completing her doctorate at Central Michigan University.

Before joining the Fox weather team, she worked for AccuWeather in Pennsylvania’s state college, where she gave updates both in English and Spanish.
