Knowing Mr. Doug

Along with the rest of the staff members at Arby’s, Coye learned that Mr. Doug was a World War II veteran staying at a retirement home. He didn’t have any loved ones, so the restaurant employees were the closest thing he had to an actual family.

His answer was already heartbreaking, but the employees wanted to know why he chose Arby’s instead of other restaurants that offer healthier meal options. After all, a man of his age should be cautious about what he eats. But it turns out that he had an excellent reason behind his food choice.
