Officer Paula wasn’t giving up. She asked everyone on the beach about Mrs. Dalton and anything strange they saw that day. But no one had answers, not even when Paula showed them a photo of Mrs. Dalton. Hope flickered when she saw a beach bar nearby.

She went up to the counter and introduced herself as a police officer. She explained the missing person case and asked if they had a moment to talk. The boy behind the counter was friendly and said he’d call his manager from the back. Finally, a new lead was on the horizon.
