Traveling with the parents is the ultimate power move. No more worrying about the details like booking the best hotel packages or planning the entire trip. Or so you thought. One slight mistake by mom or dad, and suddenly, you’re sleeping in a kid-sized bed on vacation.

Just ask Catherine, who found herself in that exact predicament when her mother got confused about her age during booking. Her mom’s typo resulted in the hotel arranging a tiny bed fit for a nine-year-old child, and 19-year-old Cathy had to find some other place to sleep.
