George Lazenby, 83 – $20 Million
As a film star, George Lazenby is the equivalent of a one-hit-wonder in music. In 1969, he was cast in his first and only appearance as James Bond in On Her Majesty’s Secret Service. The animosity between himself and the film’s director and producer, Peter Hunt and Albert Broccoli, was palpable.
However, from Lazenby’s point of view, he wanted to avoid being type-cast or be stuck playing the same character throughout his career. Inspired by Clint Eastwood, he aimed to tackle diverse characters and performances in Gettysburg, The Dragon Flies, and Star of Jaipur. Lazenby is currently busy with the filming of his zombie-themed horror Z Dead End.
