Italian actress Claudia Cardinale entered the world of entertainment by joining a beauty pageant when she was just 17 years old. At the time, she was studying at ‘Rome’s Centro Sperimentale’ when she decided to try her luck in a beauty contest. Her dark, brooding looks and mesmerizing gaze caused many heads to turn, and soon after, she became a popular film star.

Claudia rose to international fame when she starred in the 1963 film ‘8 ½’ directed by Federico Fellini. She also starred in ‘Sergio Leone’s Once Upon a Time in the West.’ Now, she is a goodwill ambassador of ‘UNESCO’ for the defense of women’s rights.
