Iris Apfel – Age 101
Ruled by her eye-popping sartorial choices and eclectic taste for design, icon Iris Apfel is a textile giant who sets the clothing culture beyond the American borders.
Apfel used to work as a copywriter for “Women’s Wear Daily” and as an assistant for various designers, which honed her style early in her career. After her marriage to Carl Apfel, she quit her day job, and together, they built the textile firm “Old World Weavers.” Over time, she has worked for nine US Presidents as an interior designer and dressed high society rich and famous. Even as a centenarian, Apfel still dazzles the fashion trade as a newly-minted IMG model.
