Rollie Fingers – Age 76
The successful former baseball player Roland Glen Fingers, fondly called Rollie Fingers, started playing with the ‘Kansas City Athletics’ in 1964. He was known for his remarkable mustache as well as his prowess on the field.
The retired baseball pitcher played for ‘Oakland Athletics’, ‘San Diego Padres’, and ‘Milwaukee Brewers’ and won several awards. By the time Fingers would retire in 1985, he had bagged 341 career saves. In 1992, he was inducted into the ‘Baseball Hall of Fame,’ and in 2000, entered the ‘San Diego Hall of Champions.’ To this day, the ex-pitcher is greatly honored in the world of sports; even his ‘World Series Championship’ ring was sold at an auction in 2020.
