Born Concetta Rosa Maria Franconero in 1937, Connie Francis changed her name and her whole life when she became an American pop sensation. Dominating the late 1950s and early 1960s, she sold over 100 million records globally, making waves in countries from Germany to Australia.

The first woman ever to top the Billboard Hot 100, Connie boasts 53 career hits. After a hiatus, she resurged and witnessed a significant comeback in Germany in 1992, bagging the R.SH-Gold award for “Best Comeback of the Year.” Francis remained active with live performances and released her autobiography in 2017 titled “Among My Souvenirs.”
