Besides trying to maintain svelte physiques, most celebrities are forced to shed off the extra pounds to stay healthy.
With their loaded pockets, several celebrities have gone under the knife to lose weight. However, several more have simply watched what they eat and adopted more active lifestyles to drop the pounds. Here is a list of celebrities who had impressive weight loss results.
Lavell Crawford – 120 Lbs – Gastric Sleeve Surgery
Breaking Bad fans can recognize Lavell Crawford from the first photo. These days he’s looking quite different after getting slimmer. Crawford had gastric sleeve surgery back in 2017 and it resulted in a 120 lbs loss for him.
Crawford was motivated to make a change for the sake of his family as well as his desire to live a healthier life. He expressed that he wanted to live long enough to be around for his daughter L.J. He undoubtedly made the right decision and we can’t wait to see what type of roles he’ll pick up with his new look.
Chrissy Metz – 100 Lbs – Eating Fewer Calories & Exercising
Most of us know Chrissy Metz from the riveting show This Is Us. Much like her character on the show who struggles to lose her extra pounds, Metz went through the same battle in real life even before the show.
For the sake of her health, she started consuming fewer calories and walking each day for 20 minutes. Even though her character on the show was on a mostly unsuccessful journey to shed off weight, it wasn’t part of her contract to lose weight. She expressed that she was willing to go the full yard if the storyline went in that direction, and she managed to lose 100 lbs.
Gordon Ramsay – 50 Lbs – Dieting & Exercising
For a man who makes a living out of whipping up delectable cuisines, it was only a matter of time before Ramsey Gordon carried excess weight. His wife Tana steered him back to reality and urged him to get back to shape.
Fortunately, Tana is a huge fan of fitness, in general, and she helped him get on a healthy eating plan. Ramsey also started working out and he’s stuck it out up to date saying that he exercises semi-competitively so that he can keep up with the fast-paced environmentà in the kitchen. He also lost 50 lbs and maintains a healthy weight.
Kim Kardashian – 20 Lbs – Rigorous Workouts & A Low-Carb Meal Plan
When Kim Kardashian welcomed her son Saint, she was ripping the scale on the heavier side. Having been a vocal supporter of Atkins Nutritionals in the past, she turned back to the weight loss program to lose the pounds. She lost 70lbs and gained a fitter body.
She also worked with Melissa Alcantara, a personal trainer, and controversially dropped down to 116 lbs after losing another 20lbs. Interestingly, her regime involves a grueling training session at night. Towards the end of 2019, Kim revealed that she had gained 18 lbs. She’s still working with Alcantara and will probably drop the weight in no time.
