Samia Longchambon has been a mainstay figure in British television for close to three decades, playing Maria Connor on the popular soap opera Coronation Street. Yet, there’s something many people don’t know about her. The actress first made her debut on the show when she was eleven years old, albeit as an extra.

After that, Samia appeared on several other productions before coming back to the show for her leading role, which she’s held since 2000.
