Herbert Hoover- Price Unknown, West Branch
Herbert Hoover’s childhood home is now a part of the Herbert Hoover National Historic Site and it was where he spent his first years in the company of his family. He lived there with his family until he was nine years old. By that age, Hoover was orphaned and moved in with relatives in Oregon. However, his father, a successful blacksmith, had already instilled in him a big sense of duty and work ethic, which helped him through the years as he decided to go into the mining business internationally. However, his abilities for financial planning didn’t help him during his presidency, which is remembered for the catastrophic Great Depression.
