Patrick Mahomes (Kansas City Chiefs) – $40-50 Million

Patrick Mahomes is the son of former Major League Baseball pitcher Pat Mahomes. He spent his school years playing baseball and football but quit the former during his sophomore year to focus on football. Mahomes was then selected by the Kansas City Chiefs in the 2017 NFL Draft.

As their quarterback, he led the Chiefs to their first Super Bowl appearance in 50 years, the Super Bowl LIV. For this, Mahomes became the youngest and second black quarterback awarded the Super Bowl MVP. By 2020, he’d signed a ten-year contract with an overall worth of $503 million, the third largest known contract in sports history.
