The heavily talented singer-songwriter Amy Winehouse was an electric and expressive musician famed for her deep voice and outstanding contralto vocals. Fame and fortune likely came quickly to her, and she became engrossed in excessive alcohol and substance abuse. A rehab stint and therapy didn’t do much, leaving her looking terrible.
Unfortunately, the iconic singer died in 2011, reportedly from alcohol poisoning. The world mourned her loss and paid homage to her short-lived career. Her albums have won many accolades, including five Grammys and an Ivor Novello Award for her song “Love Is a Losing Game.” Her legacy still inspires many aspiring singers.
