John Candy – 43 – Heart Attack
One of the most popular comedians and character actors of the 1980s and the ’90s, John Candy appeared in a string of high-grossing comedies like Cool Runnings and Uncle Buck. Candy, who was born in Canada but rose to popularity in Chicago’s Second City comedy troupe, struggled with obesity for much of his adult life. He died at 43 in 1994 of a presumed heart attack while on vacation, although an official cause was never established given the fact that no autopsy was performed afterward. Sources have indicated that he had $15 million in net worth when he passed.
