Gale Norton & John Hughes – Together Since (Unknown)

Gale Norton served as the 48th Secretary of Interior under George W. Bush’s administration. She set precedence as the first woman to hold the office and served as Colorado’s Attorney General before joining the Department of Interior.

Norton became a Colorado Women’s Hall of Fame Inductee in 2020. She didn’t run for a third term in office owing to state term limits and concluded her tenure in 1999. She then worked at the Denver-based law firm Brownstein, Hyatt & Farber as a senior counsel. Norton is married to John Hughes, her second husband.
