A Peace & Love Party Is Still A Party

Advertised as a weekend in the countryside, the Woodstock festival was not just all about celebrating an inspired generation of American young people with more than 30 musicians in the line-up; it was also about partying!

When you gather almost half a million people in one venue and put in rock & roll music and a large number of illicit drugs into the mix, there’s a good chance some of them are going to have a lot of fun. The picture above captures that aspect of the festival and Woodstock’s party-hard nature led some people to state that the festival was over-romanticized by the generations that followed.
