Two Sides To Every Story
While officials everywhere in the US were shocked by Woodstock’s conditions—with Bethel provisionally becoming the third-largest city in the state of New York, the festival-goers were all about having fun, listening to good rock & roll music, and sharing some of that peace and love.
But outside the festival’s site, people were worried about what could happen, and New York State’s Governor at that time, Nelson Rockefeller, went as far as declaring Bethel a disaster area. This truly shows there are always two sides to every story, and we can only imagine how worried some of these kids’ parents must’ve been.
