Tim Hardin Was There
Despite being overshadowed by Woodstock’s other stars, singer-songwriter Tim Hardin had a chance to play in the festival and pulled off one of the music festival’s most memorable moments. He sang his top 40 hit song If I Were a Carpenter, accompanied by nothing but his guitar.
Right before stepping on stage, Tim Hardin was photographed in a moment of deep focus. What was he writing? We’re guessing that was probably his show’s set-list (that’s something musicians commonly do before entering stage), but it could’ve been anything—even the lyrics to one of his songs.
