Fire alarms are a crucial safety feature; every homeowner should have one installed. Besides alarming everyone if there’s a fire, one practical aspect of these alarms is the installation date sticker, which serves as a reminder of when it’s time to change the batteries.

The person pictured here took the idea of the phrase “Installed on” a bit too literally and wrote down the location instead. This mix-up made the house owners wary of the installation technician, considering that this seemed like their first field project. At least he made sure that everyone knew the location where they’d installed the fire alarm.
