Janis Joplin at Woodstock

Among many A-list celebs, the late singer and songwriter Janis Joplin also graced the Woodstock festival with her presence. She might appear calm in this picture, but as soon as she touched the event ground, Janis instantly felt giddy and nervous upon seeing the crowd. Perhaps that is why she was enjoying a beverage to calm her mind.

Probably this icy-cold drink was also the reason why her voice sounded hoarse when she started singing on the stage. Despite the delay in her performance and the little mishap with her throat, the attendees shouted for an encore.
